Choosing your carer

Vetting gets a carer through the door. The meet & greet is where you decide if they're right for your dog.

Before any carer can join Truffl, we check three things:

• Their ID, so we know they are who they say they are
• Them in person, including a hands-on pet care demo
• Their profile, so the address and experience they list are verified, not just claimed

The meet & greet

Every first booking with a new carer starts with a free meet & greet. You'll get the full checklist when you book, but the short version:

• Watch how they are with your dog, and how your dog is with them
• Ask about their experience with dogs like yours
• Talk through routine, quirks, and anything that sets your dog off
• Make sure they answer everything happily, and ask about your dog too
